Parker Brothers Choppers are the ones responsible for building
The bike seems to be inspired by Daniel Simon's art although there was no collaboration as he himself states on his website :
''THERE IS NO CONNECTION BETWEEN A FLORIDA-BASED MOTORCYCLE COMPANY AND DANIEL SIMON / COSMIC MOTORS LLC. NO DESIGNS OR PRODUCTS HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED BY DANIEL SIMON AND COSMIC MOTORS LLC TO THAT COMPANY. ''
Anyway, The Detonator uses a pair of 96 Volt motors hidden away in the hub of the 27-inch rear wheel for propulsion. Llithium-ion battery pack. It's been bench-tested to 120 miles per hour. $100,000. According to operations manager Jeff Halverston, "It's not the easiest bike to ride..." You don't say ? Impressive futuristic design and a kick in the balls for the conservative wrench monkeys. That's a whole lot of dWRENCHED pedigree right there !
I robot? ....no. I human, still.
And instead of a ''PS'' I have to post the project the Bros we're working on after the Tron Cycle and before The Detonator. The Big Wheel for grown ups, The Green Machine. 45-inch front wheel and it steers from the rear. 80ci Harley-Davidson Evo engine powers this thing cutted out straight from looney toons! Suicide shift (shifted :) ). Most ask why. I prefer to ask...why not ?!
“We had a Green Machine lying around the shop and we figured it would be a cool idea. It rides crazy and is fast as hell. If it wasn’t for the rear tires we could have had it DOT approved.” - Parker Brothers’ Jeff Halverson.
See what happens when a boy doesn't get his toys at the right time ? Damn, I love it !
