dWRENCHED
The winner of the AMD Championship at the Freestyle class had what it takes to be on dWrenched...of course ! Let's take a look...
To be honest, when I surfed through the pictures of the AMD Show ( here ) this bike didn't caught my attention. At all. Mainly because I was in for the wow, right in your face extravaganza. After a more delicate inspection, this bike gave me goosebumps.
''While innovation has always been a hallmark of the World Championship of Custom Bike Building, the 10th anniversary of the show reached a new level. Held for the first time in Europe, at the Big Bike Europe Expo in Essen, Germany, the Championship showcased motorcycles, scooters, trikes and sidecar outfits. '' -AMD quote
Built by Medaza Cycles from Ireland (!), this Moto Guzzi beauty was called Rondine. It is powered by a single cylinder 500cc Nuovo Falcone engine. Don Cronin and Michael O'Shea, the two Irish builders, created a one-off frame for this project.
Hand made aluminum body work. The Harley V-Rod swing arm was modified for the front girder purpose. Now that is wild !
In a way, I really like to think that this is the ultimate Cafe Racer. From a far, it looks simple. But like I like to say, the devil is in the details...
Not even sure it it's place is on the streets or in a museum !
