HOT HOT HOT

Superb hot rod duo, 1931 Ford Model A and 32 Ford Roadster by Bad Penny Classic & Custom Services Ltd in Hamilton, New Zealand.  Got instantly hooked on these 2 beauties and I knew I must feature them at dWrenched.

"The owner of both is Andrew Beatson at Lowlife Speedshop. He imported the 31 pretty much as you see it. We had to blow it completely apart, convert it to right hand drive for NZ rules. Get it all legal etc. Runs a tough supercharged Mercury flathead, S10 5 speed trans, 9" rear. Full custom chassis, Accuair  air bag suspension in rear, dropped I-beam axle in front. Big roof chop; gonna say 5" but not 100% on that.  Chassis was painted by owner, body touched up by Charlie at Charlie's Custompaint Pinstripe.

The 32 was purchased as a project. We built the chassis, notched front and rear to get it as low as possible. Running a strong triple carb 350, 5 speed trans, 9" rear. Suspension is traditional I-beam front, ladder bar with coil over in the rear. Rewired by Bad Penny. Paint is a Porsche color, painted by owner. Again, legal stuff handled by us to get it on road."

-Chris at Bad Penny.

Thank you very much Chris!

I also pulled out the video from their IG so everyone can enjoy a bit more of these two beauties. The roadster has been recently shot by our old friend and NZ connection Hot Rod Revue, so hopefully we will have an extra killer video of this one soon.
